What is PayEquity.ai?

PayEquity.ai helps organizations use AI to create fair compensation practices. We've built a proprietary algorithm that helps companies categorize jobs, create salary structures, and ensure pay equity across their organization. Our work is powered by advanced analytics and informed by reliable market data. We consult with companies to utilize this data to make confident compensation decisions.

How is AI used in PayEquity.ai?

We utilize AI in two important ways: First our custom algorithm utilizes the API from OpenAI's ChatGPT1, the leading generative AI solution. Our app extends the capabilities of ChatGPT to classify an organization's unique set of jobs and identify technical and behavioral skills required for each job and each level, so that we can more objectively map competitive compensation data to those jobs and to individuals. Secondly, we utilize machine learning algorithms to classify jobs and identify compensation outliers among demographic groups, departments, and so on.

How does PayEquity.ai ensure fair pay?

We use advanced analytics to identify pay discrepancies across important DEI categories, such as gender, race, ethnicity, and age, helping you address these issues to ensure compmensation is fair and competitive. This is DEI in action.

Can PayEquity.ai integrate with my current HR system?

Yes. You will export data from your HRIS, and we will import that data into PayEquity.ai. After our analysis you can choose to ingest this data back into your HRIS. Common HRIS systems include Workday, BambooHR, SAP, Zoho, Sage, and more – but any HRIS with a CSV export will work with our platform.

Do I still own my data?

Absolutely. Your data is always yours, not ours.

How does PayEquity.ai handle data security?

We use modern cloud-based security measures to ensure your data is protected at all times. Your data is stored within Hostgator and Google Cloud Platform, housed in data centers in the United States. Data is copied briefly onsite during data transfer to and from your organization, and when running the algorithms we use. No PII is ever stored outside our servers.

What about PII?

The only Personally-identifiable information (PII) that we work with is email addresses and first name/last name. This data is only used when displaying the final reports showing an individual's place in salary band, and for recommended raises. You can decide which data is visible to which users within your organization. We do not pass this data to OpenAI.

Where does competitive salary data come from?

To provide accurate market-based salary recommendations, our competitive salary data is sourced primarily from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics and covers over 400 industries.
